Deep Tissue\Neuromuscular\Pain Relief
Designed to remove tension, this technique relieves both muscles and connective tissue below the surface to improve flexibility, assists healing, and un-pinches nerves. I do this by performing myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and other bodywork techniques.
Swedish\Relaxation
During these sessions I use rhythmic strokes to induce relaxation with your desired amount of pressure. I'm even awesome at giving firm pressure Swedish\ Relaxation massages.
Sports
Sports massages are designed to calm down or warm up the muscles and nervous system before or after sports events.
Pregnancy\Pre\Post-natal
Pregnancy massage focuses on addressing the special needs of women during different stages of pregnancy. I use pillows while you lay on your side to avoid putting pressure on the abdomen.
Basalt Hot Stone\"Body Trip"
The therapeutic effects of heat are encouraged by using heated basalt stones instead of hands throughout the majority of the session. This technique induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience. I call it a "Body Trip".
Lymphatic
Lymphatic Drainage is a very light technique that helps direct lymphatic fluid toward the lymph nodes to increase circulation and eliminate toxins, which assists immune function by reducing swelling, bloating, and inflammation.
Medical
I am qualified to provide therapeutic grade, medical massage (all massages listed above fall under this category). My massage training and education addresses many health conditions diagnosed by a doctor. Please let me know if you have any concerns. If I have concerns, I'll let you know as well.
I also perform Oncology Massage. These massages are categorized in this way for those who currently have cancer or are in remission. Standard techniques (those listed above) are used but may be customized based on your condition. Massage therapy has been proven to benefit oncology patients by reducing pain; alleviating stress; relieving nausea; reducing depression and anxiety; improving sleep and lessening fatigue; and preventing chemotherapy induced peripheral neuropathy; as well as relieving lymphedema. Requires doctor approval.
